If you can't tell by now, I'm a geek. I probably spend way too much time in front of a computer
monitor than is healthy. But, hey, I've got to get those X-Windows settings just right! (Not to mention
the kernel recompiles!)
Stuff I've worked on recently or am working on now:

- MSXML - now AJAX
- Using JavaScript and Java applets to create and process "mini" SOAP requests within a browser.

Older stuff:
- We've been moving a lot of code from ColdFusion to Java lately, including abstracting the database layer via XML/SOAP
- Set up my blog using Movable Type WordPress
- mod_mp3, mySQL, PHP, Perl, Movable Type and CSS stuff on my personal sites
- Jabber As Middleware - super cool!
- Been working a lot with XML, in particular Jabber, an open source instant messaging platform, with tons of possibilities!
- Tomcat JSP/Servlet engine on Linux and JDBC Servlets served via Apache/mod_jk
- ActiveX Palm syncing with databases on the Web (via HTTP, not proprietary protocols)
What I do and/or know:

- Scalable/Redundant/Reliable network design, engineering and implementation from a hardware, software and application level
- Oracle 8i on Linux and Solaris - not an expert, but I can get around
- Extensive programming in: HTML, Cold Fusion, VBScript, JavaScript, Visual Basic
- Additional programming knowledge in: Java, CSS, ASP, C/C++, Perl, PHP, bash, Transac-SQL and Tcl/Tk
- Basic design in Photoshop, Illustrator and Flash
- Database knowledge in Oracle 8/8i, mySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL 2000/7.0/6.5, MS Access
- Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 2000 Administration and Networking, some Active Directory
- Linux as a file/print server for Windows and Unix networks.
- Linux Administration, Networking, Firewalling, etc., etc, - I love Linux
- Microsoft SQL Server Administration and Programming
- I can get around in f5's bigIP and NetApp's Filers.
- Internet networking, protocols and standards including Cisco router programming, DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP, WebDAV
- ISDN and Modem Pool setup and configuration
- PC/Mac Hardware configuration and setup, including networking, cabling, etc.
- Client/Server Programming (Visual Basic and Web based)
- Microsoft Office
- Extensive audio and video experience, mixing both studio and live productions
- Analog and digital media, multitrack analog and hard disk recording, media conversion, digital preparation, MIDI
- Audio software: ACID Pro, Vegas, Sound Forge, Cakewalk, some ProTools and many shareware products
